Green Tee Cafe Opens at Raritan Landing Golf Course

Golfers, public welcome to dine on breakfast, lunch and dinner items

May 30, 2008 -- A new full-service restaurant has opened at Raritan Landing Golf Course in Piscataway, offering golfers and the public a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner items to enjoy.

The Green Tee Café is open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily to golfers and the general public at the course, 491 Sidney Road.

Owner Atef Shenouda said he is excited to expand his business into Middlesex County.

“I look forward to bringing my years of experience to Raritan Landing and welcoming the people of Middlesex County to enjoy our offerings,” Shenouda said.

Shenouda served as manager at Clubs and Bones, a restaurant at the Passaic County Golf Course in Wayne, as executive chef at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel in Elizabeth and as banquet chef at the Crowne Plaza in Secaucus.

He also has been operating the concession at the Millburn Municipal Pool for the past four years and before that operated the concession at the Fairfield Community Pool complex in 2002 and 2003.


Menu selections range from omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and grits to appetizers, wraps, hot and cold sandwiches, gyros, Reubens and Philly cheese steaks. Garden, Caesar and Greek salads also are offered.

Mr. Shenouda said he has specials and soups each day and expects to expand the menu in the coming months.

Raritan Landing is an 18-hole public golf course that was listed among the 100 Must Play Courses by Golf Styles New Jersey magazine. It is operated by the Middlesex County Improvement Authority, which also operates Tamarack in East Brunswick and the Meadows at Middlesex in Plainsboro. .
