Tamarack Golf Course Voted One of Central Jersey’s Best

October 22, 2008 -- Middlesex County’s Tamarack Golf Course was voted as “One of the Best in Central Jersey” by the readers of a daily newspaper circulated throughout the area.

Tamarack’s two 18-hole courses located in East Brunswick received a 2008 Home News Tribune Readers’ Choice Award. The course is operated by the Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA).

“This award is especially important to us because it is voted upon by our residents, the very people we hope to serve,” said Leonard J. Roseman, MCIA chairman. “It is our mission to provide quality services and programs at minimal costs to our residents. I believe the two courses at Tamarack, the course at Meadows at Middlesex in Plainsboro, and the course at Raritan Landing in Piscataway help us reach that goal, and area golfers who voted agree.”

Tamarack’s two courses, designed by Hal Purdy, tallied 79,582 rounds of golf in 2007 and play host to league and high school team play. Amenities include a full-service restaurant, locker rooms, five target greens and a driving range.

All Middlesex County golf courses are open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, year round, except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Greens fees vary. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
